Masterclass: Srdan Golubović & Srđan Koljević

Film director Srdan Golubović and scriptwriter Srđan Koljević, known by their successful cooperation on Circles (2013) and The Trap (2007), will conduct a masterclass on director-scriptwriter cooperation for the students of the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts. It will be open to all other visitors, too. 

The cooperation between a director and scriptwriter is the most important and complex relationship in the filmmaking process. Working on a script is not just building characters and dramatic conflicts and resolving these conflicts; it is also setting of deep and thorough aesthetic and ideological premises of the future film. The film's entire visual aspect, rhythm, editing structure, light, performances – in short, all the cinematic elements that assume its final form in the process of preparation, shooting and post-production of a film – are created and defined in the cooperation of director and scriptwriter.
