Synopsis
In 2010 a platoon of US infantry soldiers were reported in the news as ‘The Kill Team’ after murdering Afghan civilians for sport. Two years later, filmmaker Dan Krauss focuses on whistle blower Adam Winfield and his family during his prosecution by the US army. Interviews with two other platoon members charged for premeditated murder, combined with shocking pictures and films taken by the soldiers at the time of the events, give context to this chilling tale of war crime in the US military. The Kill Team is a thoughtful study of culpability and allegiance to authority.

Directors Biography
Dan Krauss was nominated for an Academy Award and two Emmy Awards for his first film, 'The Death of Kevin Carter' that also won prizes from the Tribeca Film Festival and many other. As a cinematographer, he has worked on several feature documentaries, including the Oscar nominated 'The Most Dangerous Man in America'. He currently teaches film and TV production at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism.
